Aerobar Ergo Lock Plugs provide a comfortable, ergonomic and secure mechanical lock for the fingers integrated into a bar end plug. The resulting hand grip is no longer prone to slippage, negating the need for tape, gloves or chalk.

Aerobar Ergo Lock Plugs are used for instances where aerobars are used without gear shifters in the ends of the extensions. Most commonly velodrome track cycling events such as Individual Pursuit, Team Pursuit and the 1 km 'kilo' Time Trial. However Aerobar Ergo Lock Plugs can also be used if satellite shifters are used on a TT/Triathlon extension set-up.
 
Aerobar Ergo Lock Plugs can work with different amounts of fingers above and below the protruding lip. Once your preferred finger position is decided, you can be sure the physical lock created by the bar plug lip will exactly match the same hand position every time. This can be useful to ensure that you maintain your optimal position identified through aero testing and do not inadvertently slide up or down the extension poles.
 
These bar end plugs have been developed and refined over the last 3 years. Ridden to both Gold and Silver medals in the British National Track Championships Men's Team Pursuit, as well as Silver in the Women's Individual Pursuit. Ridden by Team Wales riders at the 2022 Birmingham Commonwealth Games.
These Ward Performance Aerobar Ergo Lock Plugs have even been ridden to a Silver medal at the 2022 UCI Track Cycling World Championships Team Pursuit!
 
The internal bar plug utilises a rubber O-ring friction fitment, designed for universal fit. It works on nearly every round tube 22.2 mm aero bar extension. Tested on Zipp, 3T, USE. Please contact if intended to use with Deda. They use a different diameter.
