Ward Outdoor Track Test Optimised (O.T.T.O., Italian for 80) Front Wheel utilises a custom 80 mm deep full carbon fibre aero rim, which maximises aerodynamic efficiency, while balancing weight and cross wind stability.
 
Super wide rim width helps to manage cross winds and allows the aerodynamically efficient use of wider tyres than have previously been defacto for track velodrome cycling. This yields benefits such as: decreased rolling resistance; vibration damping; improved comfort; and increased grip. The rim section geometry of this wheel perfectly suits the lowest rolling resistance 28 mm road bicycle tyres available. Please check that this wheel and the recommended tyres fit your frameset!
 
The Ward Outdoor Track Test Optimised Front Wheel is intended solely for outdoor velodrome use, but can be ridden on an indoor velodrome where it still performs well. However, rim and tyre clearance can be limiting on many track framesets.
 
Note: It is important to use the recommended tyres in conjunction with this wheel for optimum performance. Tyres and tubes are not supplied as standard, but can be fitted for an additional charge. Contact for options.
 
This wheel is equally at home in timed events such as Individual Pursuit, Team Pursuit and Kilo, as it is in bunch races, sprint, or even Derny racing. Designed for riders who value performance over convention.
 
Full carbon tubeless clincher rim constructed from strong premium grade carbon fibre.
 
Hooked carbon rim is rated to a maximum tyre inflation pressure of 120 psi. However with this wheel it is not required. Simply run the same inflation pressure as you would on your road bike for the same size tyre.
 
Lightweight, low profile sealed bearing hub with hollow aluminium axle, utilising reliable but also easily replaceable sealed cartridge bearings.
 
Ward Outdoor Track Test Optimised Front Wheel is supplied with High Pressure Tubeless rim tape. It is light weight, yet super strong and durable. We have tested it with a clincher tyre to 200 psi (on a Ward 60a rim) with one single ply without any issues. It is thinner than traditional rim tapes, which makes mounting tyres easier.

We offer a 3 year warranty for spoke replacement and retrues. This warranty does not cover postage costs or improper use. In the event of hub or rim failure this is covered by the manufacturer’s policy.
 
Our carbon aero rims have a manufacturer supplied quality assurance warranty period of 1 year under normal riding. If there is any damage not caused by human factors, rims can be replaced.
 
Pictures display White decals and “Team Orange” hub. This wheel will come with a black hub as standard. “Stealth”, or “Team Orange” decal colours also available.
